I should preface this by saying I had to ask for help. I had to look at the common denominator of each of my exes... This is my conclusion
Most importantly is having a sense of humor! I'm such a goofball, and I need somebody to laugh with, that can crack jokes and not be too self conscious to do dumb sh*t with. Somebody that can cheer me up with an inside joke is someone I keep around.
LOYALTY. Yes, it had to be capitalized, because that's how important it is to me. If I'm cool with someone, I'll go through hell and high water for and with them. The same is expected in return. Loyalty is royalty, and I believe that with all my heart.
People with ambition turn me on. Ambition is defined as
an earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction: as power, honor, fame, or wealth; and the willingness to strive for its attainmentPlain and simple. I'm all about bettering myself, and the world at large. People that are fine with maintaining the status quo both confuse and annoy me. Make a goal, and strive for it. Always exceed expectations.
Be prompt! All of my friends know, if you're not on time when we're supposed to meet up, you will get left. The best way to describe my feelings about time management is this:
"To be 'early' is on time. To be 'on time' is late. To be late? Unacceptable"
Volunteer and/or donate money to causes that matter to you. Even if it's a cause that I oppose, the fact that you show the level of passion, commitment and interest in current world affairs; especially those that matter to you is inherently respectable. Being informed and able to make points about the organizations/philosophies even better.
Food is probably the easiest way to bond with me. Breaking bread with someone, sharing a meal, some drinks and a great conversation brings all the focus onto how you like them as a person. If I'm not too fond of you, I don't wanna be enjoying some lobster while you sit across the table from me. I'm a bit of a fat a*s, so i eat out a lot. When you're down to enjoy good food and good times, it earns you a spot in my heart forever
